The purpose of the Burke Hospice & Palliative Care Ambassador Program is to mobilize an informal person-to-person network with the goal of increasing awareness and understanding of hospice and palliative care in our faith community. Ambassadors help educate and relieve fears about hospice. Ambassadors are volunteers or staff members who undergo special training to build their understanding and confidence in the services Burke Hospice & Palliative Care offers to the patients and their families.
Responsibilities & Duties of an Ambassador may include:
- Ambassadors assist in distributing brochures, fact sheets & other materials in the faith community.
- Ambassadors share the mission, vision & values of Burke Hospice & Palliative Care with their friends.
- Ambassadors dispel myths & share facts about hospice.
- Ambassadors open doors for our staff to speak with the faith community.
